How much do you charge per square foot?

At Smart Custom homes, we do not have a standard square footage price. We believe that the only accurate way to give a fair price is to bid out the entire project. How much a house costs has a lot to do with the amenities the customer chooses. We make sure you are paying for exactly what you want, and nothing else.

Can building be a frustrating process?

We have heard all the stories, same as everyone else. At Smart Custom Homes, our philosophy is different. Building a new home should be a fun, hassle free experience. The right builder can make all the difference. We love what we do, and our customers know it. We will make your process smooth and exciting and in the end you will have the home you dreamed of.

How long does it take to build a new home?

Our homes typically take 90 days for construction. Building times vary depending on the time of year and the customer.

How do I get started? What is the process?

Getting started is sometimes the hardest part. Not at Smart Custom Homes. We take the guess work out of the building process. On your first meeting with us, we outline the process for you and tell you what to expect.

Can I use my own suppliers or subcontractors?

Part of the smooth process with Smart Custom Homes comes from our consistent use of quality subcontractors and suppliers. We have excellent working relationships with our subcontractors with assures us quality and timeliness. On occasion, we will work with customers to use different subcontractors or suppliers, as long as our overall quality and time line is not affected.

Do you do remodeling?

Yes. Even an existing home can be a Smart Custom Home with superior attention to detail in remodeling. Why build new vs buy existing? Building a new home assures that you are getting the most out of your money and exactly the amenities you want. With the smooth building process at Smart Custom Homes, you don't have to settle. You can have the home of your dreams.

Where do you build?

Our general building area is the Brown, Outagamie, Oconto, Shawano, Door, and Kewaunee counties. However, we will consider additional areas. Please contact Bryan for more information.

What kind of warranty do you provide?

At Smart Custom Homes, we provide a full 1 year warranty on all mechanicals in the home as well as all workmanship. All our homes are built to the highest standards and should a problem arise, we stand behind all our work.

Will you build on my lot?

Any lot site can be considered. We like to view the lot and discuss the plan for the lot. For more information on this , please contact Kevin.

Can Smart Custom Homes help with designing a plan?

We work with several designers in the area that can design your home plan. If you have some ideas, great!! Our designers can work with you to develop your plan. We also have a library of plans you could choose from.
